Amazon launches programme to help women resume their career

Amazon India has launched ‘rekindle 2.0’ to help women coming back from extended breaks, resume and rebuild their corporate careers.

 

Initiated as a pilot in 2016, the program has been re-launched with new features and benefits such as ‘Structured onboarding, focused mentoring, flexible work options and on-the-job learning that will help women integrate into the workplace more smoothly.

 

Under the program, women candidates will have access to flexible work options including work from home, and flexible shift options as per thier respective job roles.

 

Amazon will facilitate peer learning circles that will help with specific skills gaps; while offering roles and assignments that empowers them to perform effectively on the job. To help women cope with work and gradually get back into the world of work, responsibilities will be given in stages.

The program is for tech and non-tech job roles including working on live projects across different functional areas.

 

A minimum of 12 months of career break will be considered for women to be a part of rekindle. They will be selected on the basis of their previous experience that matches job requirements for the identified positions.
